Arohan Scheme Assam 2026, Mentor-Mentee Programme For Students

The Arohan Scheme, started by the Assam government, is a Flagship scheme. This scheme is a mentor-mentee program for the meritorious students of the 11th and 12th grades. With the help of this scheme, students can get mentorship, career counselling, exposure visits and development activities. Some students visit the reputed Institute and also attend cultural events at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra.

Arohan Scheme was started under the leadership of CM Himanta Biswa Sarma. This scheme is designed as a mentor-mentee program in which the government will support Meritous students academically was studying in government schools. The meaning of the word Arohan is to rise upward. So the primary aim behind the launch of the scheme is to raise academically bright students and advance in their lives by providing them mentorship, good exposure, future guidance and limited financial assistance. This is specially designed for those students who come from under privilege background.

Objective of the Arohan Scheme

There are so many objectives behind the launch of the Arohan Scheme, but there are a few objectives that we mentioned below:-

• The basic and main objective of the scheme is to improve the literacy rate in the state of Assam. The students of government schools get opportunities, future guidance and mentorship, and then they will continue their higher studies in government schools.
• Students also get career guidance for their future in this program. In this, they can choose their career by discussing with their Mentor.
• This scheme will help Meritous students of Assam who study in government schools and provide guidance for their future.
• This scheme will help in the overall development of students in both academic and non-academic areas. Mentors also work on overall personality development and communication.
• This scheme also helps to make a bridge in rural and urban areas. Students of rural areas will get the opportunity to visit professional institutes and get the opportunity to know more about them.

Arohan Scheme Eligibility Criteria

• Students who are permanent residents of Assam are eligible.
• Only the students of Comet schools are eligible.
• Students of classes 11th and 12th are eligible for this team.
• Students who are performing well in their academics/Meritorious Students, I will get this opportunity.
• Students who are studying in government schools, Adarsha Vidyalayas, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas and Tea Garden model schools are eligible.

This program is basically a mentor-mentee program, in which mentors will guide you for your overall development. So the question arises in your mind: Who can become a mentor? Eligible mentors:

Assam Arohan Scheme Registration for Mentor

• For registration, you have to visit the official website: arohan-ssa.assam.gov.in
• On the home page, you will see a section of Mentor can sign up here.
• When you click on it then registration page will open on your screen.
• Fill this form with details like your name, email ID, mobile number, gender, current occupation, professional category, job role, and date of birth.

• Also, you have to give information about Mentor experience, current working status, work experience, identity card and type and also mention your ID number.
• The mentor has to upload a soft copy when you fill out the registration form.
• In the next section, you have to enter your permanent address with complete information and add the pin code.
• Then mention your age, Bradford Communication Language, a university or institution name and the interested Fields.
• Also, tell us about the language you are aware of and then upload a recent passport-size photograph.
• You have to tell us which district you would prefer to become a mentor.
• Then select one password that is used at the time of login, and then submit your application form. After verification, the form will be submitted to the concerned Authority.
• All forms will be scrutinized and then you will be informed through your email ID, or you can check it on this website after logging in.

Arohan Scheme Student Registration

• The student registration will be done by the school administration.
• Schools are doing this process by themselves, providing students’ names, class marks and other details.
• All the application forms were verified by the authority.
• The selected student’s name will be announced in school by the school officials.
