After completing their education, such as graduation, candidates are always in need of support because their parents have hope that after completing a degree, their child will earn money and support their family financially. So now the state government of Assam is going to provide the monthly financial support of Rs.2,500/-. This financial assistance is only given to candidates who are unemployed and fresh graduates. The duration of this scheme is only for one year. By launching this scheme in the state, the government complete their commitment to the youth of the state. That’s why on 3rd November, 2025, they officially launch this scheme across the state with the Name of Chief Minister’s Jibon Prerana Scheme. Department who provide the benefits to the eligible unemployed youth of the state is the Skill Employment and Entrepreneurship Department of the state.

In this scheme, the unemployed candidates and also Fresh Graduates who completed their graduation in the current academic year will be eligible to receive the financial assistance of Rs.2,500 every month. Every deserving candidate received this financial unemployment allowance for one year direct in their bank accounts.

This important step is taken by the government to support the candidates from their education to employment. The other motive of this scheme is only to support all the candidates to find a job of their choice, and by providing such financial help, the government also wants to encourage the candidates to prepare for competitive exams. In the Assam Budget 2026-27, the government announced that it will revive the Jibon Prerana Scheme from September 2026. Under this scheme, Rs 2,500 Monthly Aid for unemployed youth. The Next installment of this scheme will be released in September 2026. They also announced plans to generate 2 lakh new jobs in the next five years across Assam.

Eligibility Criteria

• Residency: Applicant must be a permanent resident of the State of Assam.
• Education Status: You must be a fresh graduate, i.e. pass out your Graduation in the current academic year, i.e. in 2025, from any government or private university of the state.
• Employment Status: The applicant is an unemployed candidate.

Ineligibility

• All candidates whose family annual income is more than Rs.10 Lakhs.
• The children of government employees, MLAs, or government contractors are ineligible, but the kids of 4th-class employees are eligible for the scheme.

Assam Chief Minister’s Jibon Prerana Scheme Apply Online

• Visit to Portal: Visit the concerned official portal of Assam, i.e. DIDS Portal, dids.assam.gov.in.
• Select Language: The government provide the facilities to choose the language of your choice, i.e. here we choose the English Language.
• Then Register On Portal: If you are new, then on the home page of the portal, you will get the link to Citizen Login, but if you are new, then you have to click on Register Now. Need to enter your Mobile Number, accept the privacy policy and terms and conditions and then get an OTP.
• Verify Details: Now you receive the one-time password on your number and enter the OTP.
• Select Information: Now start selecting the details of yourself, like your Gender, Scheme Name, i.e. Jibon Prerna Scheme, Your state Name, Occupation Details, Parent Details, Family Annual Income, Your Graduation Passing Year, i.e. 2025.
• Click to Apply: Now, when you’ve put all the details correctly and found you are eligible for the scheme and want to apply, then proceed to apply for the scheme.
• Fill the Application Form: Here, the Application Form opens in front of you; enter your complete Name, Parent’s Name, Date of birth, Mobile Number, email ID, and your college enrolment number.
• Put Address Details: Now enter the complete address details with District Name, Circle Name and PIN Code.
• Provide Education Qualification Info: Have to select your institute Name, College Location, your graduation course and the complete date of graduation.
• Enter Bank Details: Need to enter the Bank details like your Name available on the bank passbook, account number, bank branch name, and IFSC Code.
• Upload Document: Now upload all the supporting documents with the form after scanning the device.
• Final submission: Now accept the terms and conditions, and then enter the CAPTCHA code and submit the form.
