  • Residence:  Family should be permanently resident in the state of Assam.
  • Type of Marriage Conducted: The marriage of the girl should be registered under the Special Marriage Act.
  • Financial Status of Family: The annual income of the family of the bride is not more than Rs.5 Lakhs.
  • Number of Marriages: The benefits of this scheme are only given at the time of the first marriage of a girl.
  • Educational Qualification: At the time of the marriage ceremony, the educational qualification of both the couple must be at least 10th class pass. But in the case of the Tea Tribe community or the Adivasi community, an educational qualification is not required.
  • Age Limit: The age of the girl must be 18 years, and for the boy, the age must be 21 years.

  • First of all, after completing the marriage ceremony, every couple should register their marriage under the Special Marriage Act 1954.
  • After completing the registration, you all need to fill out the application form and submit in the office.
  • The online application form is also available on the official website of the Managing Department, i.e. Revenue and DM Department of Assam State.
  • On the same portal, after filling out the form, you need to submit it with the documents and then take a printout of the form.
  • After submitting the form, the form will be verified by the officials and rejection or approval will be sent to you through email or SMS.
