Assam Tractor Distribution Scheme 2026 (CMSGUY) Subsidy, Benefits

Under Chief Minister Samagra Gramya Unnayan Yojana, i.e. CMGSUY, a new scheme was announced by the government of Assam for the agriculture Sectors of the state. The scheme is introduced with the name of the Assam Tractor Distribution Scheme. By launching this scheme, the government is making a plan to double the income of the Farmers of the state. By implementing this scheme in the state, the government is going to provide financial support to the Farmers of the state to buy tractors.

They will get the subsidy which is upto Rs.70%. By purchasing the Tractors, the government boost up the income in rural areas, and people can do the work in the agricultural sector with mechanisation. To avail the benefits of the scheme, the government allow the farmers to choose the model of the tractors in which 20% amount can be given through a loan, and 10% will be given by the beneficiary Farmers. All the farmers can now check the complete process with the subsidy amount and the tractor companies’ list.

Assam Tractor Distribution Scheme

To boost the agricultural production in the small villages of Assam state, the Assam Tractor Distribution Scheme was launched. In which the group of farmers with a minimum of 8 to 9 members, having an age above 18 years, can submit the form to apply for this scheme. And then, after getting the tractors from the state government, they can use them for the agricultural activities. To run this scheme smoothly in the state, the government also released a separate budget amount for it. The group that is going to apply for this scheme can be selected by the District Level committee, and after getting the Tractors, they will be provided on rent.

By distributing the Tractors through this scheme, the government only wants to enhance the productivity in agriculture sector. Now, the scheme also makes tractors affordable for everyone. By spending only a small amount, the group of farmers will get the tractors in their name and then also give the same tractors for rent to other people. After purchasing the tractors, they can only use them for agricultural purposes. The scheme mainly focus to make the farmer empowerment.

Features of the Assam Tractor Scheme

• Why this Scheme was Launched:- This scheme was launched to enhance the income of the Farmers and increase the agricultural productivity in rural areas of the state. which also helps to empower the farmers.
• Financial Help: The financial help which is given in this scheme is given in the shape of a subsidy, which is a maximum 70% of the total cost of the tractors, which is a maximum of Rs. 5.5 Lakhs.
• Fund: From 100% of the total cost of the Tractors, 70% will be given as a subsidy by the government, 20% can be given via a loan from the Bank, and then rest of the 10% will be given by the beneficiaries themselves.
• Beneficiaries targeted: Beneficiaries who are selected in this scheme are the Farmers Group, which is made with 7 to 8 Farmers Minimum and selected by the District Level Committee.
• Tractor Model: The model of the tractors can be selected by the Farmer’s Group as per their needs.
• Eligibility: All the Group which are selected by the committee from the state of Assam are eligible to avail the benefits of the scheme.

How to avail the benefits of the Scheme?

• Check Eligibility: Before availing the benefits of the scheme, a group of farmers must check the eligibility Criteria and also be an active group of the state.
• Registration: Then, if you think that your group is eligible and active, complete the registration on the concerned department of the portal.
• Fill Application Form: There is also the application form, which is filed by the group of farmers.
• Verification: At last, the verification process is done by the officials of the group, and then, after verification, the benefits will be given to them.

Eligibility Criteria For Farmer’s Group

• All the permanent citizens of the Assam state will be eligible.
• This scheme is not for individual farmers, but rather for a group of farmers with a minimum of 8 to 10 farmers who must be active members.
• All the group members, i.e. farmers having their bank account in the same bank branch, need to apply jointly by giving their signature on the application form.
• The members of the group should belong to different families; from each family, only one member can join the Farmers group.

Assam Tractor Subsidy Scheme

So in this scheme, the government support all the farmers of the state by providing them with a subsidy. In this scheme, firstly, one farmer group having 8 to 10 members will have to apply, and then they also need to choose the model of the tractors with their amount. After the government provide the 70% subsidy of the total cost of the farmers, which is Rs. 5.5 Lakhs. 20% will be given through a bank loan, and 10% will be contributed by the Farmers.

• The group needs to get the application form and then submit the same to the DAO Office, i.e. District Agriculture Officer.
• Then this officer will send your application form to the District Level committee, which will select the farmers’ group.
• After the selection for this scheme, every group need to make the payment of 10% of the cost of the tractors.
• After completing all the formalities, everyone will get the rest of the benefits to purchase the tractors.
