Guru Dakshina Scheme Assam: Financial Support To Teachers, Eligibility

Recently, the Assam Government started the new Guru Dakshina 1.0 Portal for the Non-Provincialised Teachers of the state. Under this, they will all get the one-time financial settlement from the government. The announcement about this portal has been made by the Education Minister of the Assan Mr. Ranog Pegu.

This Guru Dakshina Portal is the digital platform with the help of which the government providing the financial help which is one time settlement to all the teachers who are serving in the institution which are over taken by the state government, but their services are not provincialised. The portal was started on 15 March 2026 under the SSA (Samagra Shiksha Assam). All the eligible teachers who want to get the benefits under this scheme will need to apply online through this portal. Guru Dakshina Scheme

This scheme is now officially implemented all over Assam by the government. Under which all the eligible teachers will get the incentive and one-time financial support by the government for their important role in the bright futures of the students. By launching this scheme, the government also wants to strengthen the Assam education system and also recognise the teachers for their contribution.

Guru Dakshina Portal was introduced in the month of March by the Assam Government. Under this scheme, the financial support will be provided to the teachers who were left out previously in the State provincialization process. This scheme was started under the monitoring of the Department of School Education and the Department of Higher Education. In this scheme, a one-time financial support will be provided to all the eligible teachers of venture educational institutions. A new digital platform with the name www.gurudakshinaportal.org has been started to ensure the efficiency and transparency of the scheme. With the help of this portal, applicants can upload their necessary documents and also check their application request status.

What is Guru Dakshina Portal 1.0?

So, to provide the benefits in this scheme, the government also launched the dedicated portal, i.e. Guru Dakshina Portal 1.0, to provide the benefits of the scheme, and all the eligible teachers can register on the same portal. Teachers who are working in provincialised and government schools of the state are able to register on the portal. This will also help to the state for this important steps toward the education system of the state.

At the time of registration on the portal, you can use this portal and then submit all the important details like personal basic details, employment details and upload all the supporting documents.

• Visit Guru Dakshina Portal 1.0: First of all, you need to visit the official portal of the scheme.
• Register: After visiting this portal, you have to register as a teacher on this portal by filling out the registration form.
• Get User ID and Password: After registering on this portal, you have to create your ID with the help of your email ID and mobile number.
• Fill Registration Form: Now, here you will need to enter the details of the teachers regarding their employment and personal details.

Guru Dakshina Scheme Verification Stages

Three major verification stages will be conducted as follows:-

• First of all, the recommendation for the eligible teachers will be given by the head of the institution.
• Then the District Level verification was done.
• Final state-level verification will be done by the department before giving the benefits.
