Assam Government in 2020 October, launched the flagship scheme, which is known by different names like Assam Orunodoi scheme and Arunodoi Scheme. With this scheme, the state government of Assam wants to promote women empowerment, Family empowerment and Assam Empowerment. In this scheme, the government provides the financial benefits in the shape of some amount every month to all the selected beneficiaries of the Assam state.
Monthly Financial Assistance of this scheme can be distributed through the DBT Method in the name of the Head of the Family who is female. The selection of the beneficiaries can be done after completing the verification by the government at the District, Panchayat, and Block Level, and then approval will be given to make the payments to the same beneficiaries or families. Orunodoi 3.0 Scheme Assam
If we are talking about the current status of the scheme, the 3rd Phase of the Assam Orunodoi scheme, which is also called the Assam Orunodoi 3.0 scheme. In which amount also increases, and more beneficiaries are added to the scheme. In the initial phase of this scheme, the selected beneficiaries of the selected areas of Assam state will be targeted. Now with the start of the 3rd Phase, this scheme has also expended and a total of 40 Lakhs of beneficiaries from all over the state will be added.

In the previous phase of this scheme, the beneficiaries received the monthly Assistance of Rs. 1,250 per month, but now in the 3rd phase of the scheme, they will receive a total of Rs. 1,500, in which Rs. 250 LPG Subsidy will be added. So it means it is the combination of the Rs. 1,250 Cash and LPG Subsidy Rs. 250, and the total amount will be paid to the Household female, which must be Rs. 1,500.
What is the Assam Orunodoi Scheme?
This is a government welfare scheme that is run in the state of Assam. This scheme provides a regular income to the households. The monthly financial assistance will be given to the female head of the family. By getting this regular amount, they can spend the same on medicine, education and other daily necessities of life. The primary beneficiaries who are targeted in this scheme are only the women of every household, who provide strength and manage the families.

Orunodoi 3.0 Financial Assistance
- Financial Assistance: In this scheme, most of the beneficiaries will receive the monthly payment of Rs. 1,250 per month in their account through DBT.
- In January 2026 Updates: So with the start of 1st January in 2026, the combination amount will be given, in which Rs. 1,250 will be given as cash and Rs. 250 will be given as LPG Subsidy amount, the total amount received by the beneficiaries will be Rs 1,500/- per month.
- March 2026 Updates: In March, the government also announced the new amount disbursement, which is a one-time payment of Rs. 9,000. In which more than 40 Lakhs women of the state who are beneficiaries of this scheme will receive this amount.

Eligibility Criteria For Orunodoi 3.0
All the female beneficiaries need to meet the following eligibility Criteria of the scheme.
- Assam Residency: You are a permanent resident of the state of Assam.
- Enrollment in NFSA: The main conditions of this scheme to get the benefits are that all individuals must be enrolled with NFSA, i.e., the National Food Security Act of the state.
- Family Financial Status: The annual income of all family members is not more than Rs. 2 Lakhs.
- Beneficiaries: All women aged 18 years or above will be primary beneficiaries of the scheme. But in the case of unmarried women must be 45 plus.
Essential Documents Required
- Residency Proof:- Submit the Assam Residence proof like Bonafide/ Domicile Certificate of Assam state.
- Aadhaar Card: The Aadhaar Card of the Applicant and their Household members are also required.
- Ration card Copy: It is required to check the family’s financial status and eligibility.
- Bank Account Details: The active bank account details that are open in the name of female beneficiaries to receive payment.
- Income Proof Family: You need to submit the family income certificate showing the family’s combined income of less than Rs. 2 Lakhs.
- Photograph: Applicant Passport Size 2 Photograph.
- Self Declaration Affidavit: Every applicant has to submit the self-declaration certificate for the eligibility they claim in this scheme.

- Monthly Financial Support: In this scheme, the monthly financial support of Rs. 1,250 will be provided to every beneficiary.
- DBT Transfer: The amount can be transferred through the Direct Benefits Transfer system to maintain the security and transparent delivery of the payment.

Assam Orunodoi scheme Apply Offline
To date, there is no way to apply online for the scheme. So you all can follow the easy process, which is through offline mode.
- Visit to Local Office: To apply offline for this scheme, every eligible beneficiary needs to visit the Local Office, such as the Gram Panchayat, Block Development Office and collect the complete information about the scheme.
- Get Form and Fill: From the same office, you have to get the application form and then fill it with the correct information after understanding the terms and conditions of the scheme.
- Attached Documents With Form: After filling the form, you need to attach the documents as photocopies with the form.
- Submit: You can also submit the application form in the same office.
- Verification Process: From the date of submission of the form, the verification will be done, and after approval, the transfer of the benefits will be started.
