Objective of the Assam Annual Transport Aid Scheme for Tea Garden Students
The announcement about this scheme has been made by the Education Minister of Assam, Ranoj Pegu, through his social media account. This scheme is also implemented under the Samagra Shiksha Assam. By implementing this scheme, the government wants to improve the attendance of the students in the school on a regular basis.

Features of the scheme
- Targeted Beneficiary: A total of 9,714 students from classes 1st to 10th are going to get benefits from this scheme from 198 schools available in the 11 districts of the state.
- Period of Scheme Benefits: This scheme starts providing the benefits to all the students from 10th June 2026 to 31st March 2026. The scheme is not providing the benefits in the month of July 2026 because this is the time of the summer vacation.
- Financial Assistance: Every eligible student will receive the financial assistance of Rs. 5,400 as transport support.
