So, keeping male students in mind, “Mukhya Mantrir Nijut Babu Aasoni Scheme”. By announcing this scheme, the government is providing financial assistance to all male students from EWS (Economically Weaker Section) families. And with it, you are also studying in UG and PG 1st Year. To get the payment under this scheme, every one need to fill the application form separately available for UG and PG Courses.
Mukhya Mantrir Nijut Babu Aasoni Scheme
The government introduced this scheme in 2026, under which they are going to support male students of the state by providing them with financial assistance every month. All the male students who belong to poor families and are completing their higher education in UG and PG Courses from any government or government-aided institute will be eligible to get the benefits of this scheme. With the help of this scheme, the government also wants to reduce the financial burden on male students for their education.

This scheme is the same scheme as the Nijut Moina Scheme under which the government prove financial help to the girl students of the state. Now the government also wants to support the boys’ students.

Financial Assistance For Babu Aasoni Scheme
In this scheme, some of the students will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 2,000, and some will get Rs. 1,000/-. It depends on the type of courses. So if you are 1st-year postgraduate students, then you will get a monthly amount of Rs. 2,000, and if you are 1st-year undergraduate students, then you will get Rs. 1,000 monthly. The amount is directly given to students through their Bank account number linked with the scheme.

This amount is given for 10 months in every academic year. In the summer vacation or during break, the government stop paying for the scheme.
Eligibility Criteria
- All the domicile Male students of the Assam state will be eligible for this scheme.
- The annual income of the whole family is not more than Rs. 4 Lakhs per year.
- Candidates must be regular students and completing their education in UG and PG Courses, and enrolled as 1st-year students.
Who is not eligible
- All the students who are pursuing their education from a private college, self-finance courses, and Distance education.
- Students whose parents are government employees or taxpayers are also not eligible for this scheme.
- Students who are married are also not eligible for this scheme.
- Students who are already receiving the benefits under other schemes, like the Jibon Prerana Scheme, are also not eligible for this scheme.
Objective of the Babu Asoni Scheme
With the help of this scheme, the government wants to boost the enrollment of male students who belong to poor families in higher education. By getting financial support from the government, the dropout rate of male students is reduced. Only those students who maintain regular attendance at school with discipline.
Benefits of the Scheme
- Financial Support: The government provides a monthly stipend for 10 years in every academic session to the male students, which is Rs. 2,000 for PG and Rs. 1,000 for UG Courses.
- Encourage Higher Education: The government wants to promote higher education among male students and to make their lives better.
- Same Platform: Like girls students, the government provide the same platform to the boys students for higher education.

Mukhya Mantrir Nijut Babu Aasoni Scheme Application Form
- Every eligible male student of Assam will need to download the Babu Asoni Application form from the official portal at no cost.
- Students who are 1st Year in the PG course will have to fill out a separate application form, and students of 1st year of the UG course have a separate application Form.
- After downloading the form have to fill it out and complete it after attaching the documents to the form.
- Then submit the application form to your college or university’s authority, and after verification, you will receive the benefits of the scheme.

Boys students will get financial support under this scheme, and they will use this to purchase Books, stationery, and education-related material. Students who are pursuing UG Courses will get Rs 1000 monthly, and Students of post-graduation (PG) will get Rs 2000 monthly in this scheme. The financial support amount will be given directly into the bank accounts of students by the Assam government. This scheme will help male students to fulfil their educational needs, and they do not have to depend on their parents.
