The E Rickshaw and Moped Distribution scheme is also one of the most popular schemes of the state of Assam. The government distributes the Free E Rickshaw to the person who fulfils the eligibility criteria with certain terms and conditions of the scheme for self-employment.

This scheme runs under the management of the Directorate of Minority Affairs and the Char Area of the state. In this scheme, the unemployed youth will get an E Rickshaw or Moped, which is battery-operated, for their self-employment. Every eligible citizen of the state will get the Free E Rickshaw or Moped under this scheme, but you should belong to the linguistic minority communities of Assam state. All deserving candidates aged 25 to 50 with a family income of Rs 3 Lakhs per year will receive the benefits of the scheme.

Eligibility Criteria

• Residency Required:- Permanently living people in the Assam state are eligible for this scheme.
• Age limit: The age of the applying candidates required for this scheme is only 25 to 30 years. Those below 25 and above 50 are not eligible.
• Annual Income of Family: The family income is not more than Rs.3 Lakh.
• Category: All the unemployed candidates belong to Linguistic Minorities of the Assam state.

• It is important to know that registration for this scheme is free of Cost, there is no fee charged by the department.
