There is a financial assistance program announced by the Governor of Assam state, Mr Lakshman Prasad Acharya, in favour of aspirants who are preparing for the Civil Service Examination. The name of this program is Assam Pratibha Protsahan Yojana. This is announced on September 17, 2024.

In this scheme, a total of 512 aspirants will get the financial support from the government. In total, 512 candidates are selected, 12 are selected through direct mode, and the remaining 500 will be selected through online. By launching this scheme, the government wants to provide them with all the important and necessary resources to get better coaching for the UPSC Civil Services examination for the pre and main exams. The government of Assam state invites applications from time to time among candidates of Assam state who are preparing for the Civil Services Examination. This is also a scholarship scheme in which the government provides financial help and needy resources to the candidates to prepare themselves for the Pre and main exams in UPSC. By launching this scheme, the government also has the aim to give them a good quality of coaching to all the eligible candidates of the state.

Not only financial support but free accommodation facilities, proper food and mentorship will also be given. So all the interested aspiring students who are recently doing the preparation for this UPSC Civil Service Examination will need to apply for this scheme after visiting the official website, i.e. gappy.assam.gov.in.

Eligibility Criteria

• All applicants who are permanent citizens of the state.
• Candidates who have already completed their graduation and are now interested in high-quality coaching for the UPSC Civil Services Examination.

Selection Process

In this scheme, the applicants will be selected through the following process:-

• Candidates Shortlisted: The first step to make the selection of candidates is based on the marks they get in their 12^th and graduation.
• Appeared in Written Test: Then, after selection, selected candidates will appear in the written test through the All Assam Talent Search Examination.
• Group Counselling: There is also group counselling conducted for candidates who pass the written test.
• Personal Interview: Finally, the personal interview will be conducted with the candidates for final selection.

Assam Pratibha Protsahan Yojana Application Process

• There is a dedicated portal also launched for the Governor of Assam’s Pratibha Protsahan Yojana, i.e. gappy.assam.gov.in.
• So as and when the application is invited in this scheme, you need to open the same portal and then find the link to the application form.
• All first-time visitors will need to register as candidates, and then after login the application form will be filled out by the candidates.
• Upload all documents with the form and then submit it.

Conclusion

Governor Assam Pratibha Protsahan Yojana was started in partnership between the Assam Raj Bhavan and Arya Pratibha Vikas Sansthan. In this scheme, application forms are invited from civil services aspirants of Assam for the prestigious scholarship program. Under this scheme, financial support and coaching will be provided to the selected candidates. They will be trained and given our shape so they will become a civil servant. In this scheme, 10 experience will be selected for direct mode coaching at Delhi, NCR.

All the candidates who will be selected for the scholarship will undergo the Assam talent search examination group counselling, and personal interviews. Applicants will be shortlisted on the basis of 12th and graduation marks. These shortlisted candidates will go for the written screening test. This screening test will be conducted in the various locations of Tezpur, Jorhat, Guwahati, Silchar, Kokrajhar, Baksa, Dibrugarh, Diphu, and Haflong. The group counselling and personal interview will be conducted in Guwahati only. The result will be published on the official website gappy.assam.gov.in.
