Mission Basundhara 3.0 Assam Status Check on Sewa Setu Portal

Mission Basundhara is a flagship program started by the Assam government under the Department of Revenue and Disaster Management on 2nd of October 2021. Recently, the government launched Basundhara 3.0, the final phase of the project, which aims to protect the land rights of the local population.

Under the Mission Basundhara 3.0, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, you give 1 lakh land pattas to the indigenous landless families and Public institutions. This scheme will help to resolve the long-term pending land-related disputes. In the whole state of Assam, 106905 beneficiaries have already received Land Pattas. 44700 Pattas are only distributed in the Dhemaji district. In the last 5 years, 10 lakh land-related disputes have been resolved by the government. The main purpose behind the launch of Mission Basundhara 3.0 is to give property ownership records, especially in rural areas. Beneficiaries of this scheme who get Pattas under this scheme use them for residential or commercial purposes. This scheme is only for the landless families who do not have any type of land in the state.

Mission Basundhara 3.0

This program now in its third stage, and the 1st stage was launched on the 8th of May 2022, in which the government distribute land related Services to the state’s people. After that 2nd phase of Mission Basundhara started on 14th of November 2022, in which land rights were provided to the State people.

The 3rd Phase (Basundhara 3.0) was launched on the 20th of October 2024, in which the government gave land rights to 2 lakh indigenous people. Now, the comment aims to allot ownership on the basis of priority groups. This scheme will help to make the land-related services transparent. Basundhara 3.0 – 1 Lakh land Pattas Distributed

On the 27th of February, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma distributed land pattas to 1 lakh indigenous landless families and public institutions under their Flagship program Basundhara 3.0. They also give assurance that land-related disputes and queries will be solved soon by the government. According to the chief minister, a total of 1,06,905 beneficiaries of Assam will get Bhoomi Patta and 44,700 pattas are distributed only in the Dhemaji District.

Eligibility Criteria

If any Assam resident want to take advantage of Basundhara 3.0 then they have to fulfill the criteria set by state government:-

• Only the permanent resident of Assam are eligible for the scheme.
• Applicants have to prove residency in Assam since 1951, or they have to show documents that their 3 family generations have lived in the state for 75 years.
• Some relaxations are given in Basundhara 3.0 for tribes and adivas is are not cover 3 generationsdocuments.
• Gorkhas are also out of eligibility for three generations.
• People who belong to SC and ST also get the benefit of this land pattas, and they do not have to submit their documents of three generations.
• This benefit is also given to some communities like Koch Rajbongshi, Moran, Matak, Chutia, and Ahom. These communities do not have to show any type of documents in Basundhara 3.0.
• Pre 1971 refugees are also eligible to apply for a free land patta, and they only have to show a refugee certificate, which will be issued by the government agencies.

How to apply for Basundhara 3.0 Assam?

• All the eligibility criteria are already mentioned in this post. If you are eligible, submit your application form on the Sewa Setu Assam portal.
• The application process is very simple to apply for Basundhara 3.0. Visit the portal sewasetu.assam.gov.in.
• You have to select the service you want from the list.
• The next thing you have to do is to verify your identity with your Aadhaar or PAN number. The verification will be completed when the OTP is received on your registered mobile number.
• After the verification of the land details, upload all the necessary documents on the official portal.
• Pay the application charges.
• Then submit your application form and note down the reference number. This reference number will help you in future to track down your application.

Basundhara 3.0 Assam Status

• To check Basundhara 3.0 Assam Status, you have to visit the official website of Sewa Setu sewasetu.assam.gov.in/site.
• On the home page, you will see a track section at the top right corner.
• When you click on it, then select the first option, Services and then a new page will open.
• On this page, you will see track your application status. So enter your application reference number and then click on the track button.

• Now the application status with reference number, applicant name, stipulated delivery date, and current status submission date will be displayed on your screen.
• If your application is under process, then you have to wait for some time.

Chief Minister of Assam said that with Char Areas, we would serve it under the Mission Basundhara 4.0. Chief minister gives up hints that they will implement the scheme in the Char areas, which are water of the ocean, sea, lake, or stream.
