Swanirbhar Naari Scheme started under the direct rate of the handloom and textile, Government of Assam. This scheme was started to give empowerment to indigenous women Weavers. With this scheme, the Assam government is going to promote traditional hand-woven items. If Indigenous women of Assam who are working in the field of handicrafts and handmade items, then the government will help them to buy their products directly. They try to back you directly from weavers, so there is no middleman involved in this whole process, and the profit will directly go to the beneficiary. This will also help to improve fair market access and encourage craftsmanship.
Assam Swanirbhar Naari Scheme
For the smooth implementation of this process, the Assam government launched the portal swanirbharnaari.assam.gov.in. All the eligible weavers have an opportunity to register themselves on this portal. After the registration, they have to go for the physical field verification, which is done by departmental officials. Registration will be verified with their Aadhaar number, and after completing all the formalities will be successfully registered and linked with the scheme.

Eligibility Criteria
- An interested weaver must be a permanent resident of Assam.
- The person who wants to apply should have at least one Loom in their household.
- The weaver must have an active bank account in which the core banking solution facility will be available.
- Any weaver having a valid yarn passbook, great issue boy, the direct rate of hand Loom and textile assam government and then it is required.
- All the weavers of Assam state are eligible to register on the official portal. After the registration, they will be verified by the concerned inspector of Hand Loom and Textile.
Non-Eligible
- Assam non-residents are not eligible for the scheme.
- If you do not have a single in your household, then you are not eligible.
- If you do not have a valid bank account with a core banking solution, it also comes under the non-eligible category.
Registration Process for Entrepreneurs
- For the registration process, you have to visit the official website swanirbharnaari.assam.gov.in.
- Then you have to sign up with your mobile number and verify it with your otp.
- In the sign-up form, you have to fill in details like your District, block and or Village name. Then enter your unit name, entrepreneur mobile number and address.
- Once your verification is completed, the application form will open on your screen. In this form, you have to fill in additional details, like:-
- UDYAM registration number
- Trade License
- Valid GST number
- Number of Weavers working under the unit
- Type of product
- Seals turnover in the last year
- Marketing cost
- Assistance was taken from the government
- Bank loan
Get information about Profit and Loss
- Now, after the sub meeting, these details save your application form.
- The next section is the upload your supporting documents, in which you have to upload all the supporting documents.
- Then assign Weaverr details; you have to select the status of yes or no.

Registration Process for Weavers
- For registration as a weaver, you have to visit https://swanirbharnaari.assam.gov.in/.
- On the main page, you have to enter your username, then your password, select a role, fill in the captcha code and then click on the sign-in button. In case you forgot your user ID or password, you can click on the forward option.
- On the next page, you have to enter the personal details like your name, Aadhaar Number, Voter ID Number, email ID, father’s or husband’s name, date of birth, gender, cast add pin code.
- In the next section, tell whether you are physically disabled or not.
- Then select income per year.
- In the next section, you have to enter your complete address.
- Also, provide the yarn passbook details.
- At the end, you have to select your login details, like username and a password.
- At the end, select the option that you want to sell your handmade products under the Swanirbhar Naari Scheme. Select yes if you want to sell, if not, then select no and then click on the register button.
Swanirbhar Naari Scheme Login Process
- The login process is also held on the official website: swanirbharnaari.assam.gov.in.
- On the login page, you just have to enter your username and password and then click on the submit button. In case your password show incorrect, then follow the steps.
Password Reset Process
- Firstly, you have to select the forgot password ” option on the login page.
- Then the forward password box will be open on your screen, in which you have to enter your Aadhaar Number, date of birth, then enter the new password and confirm it. And click on the submit button
Procurements of the Product
- From each eligible Weaver, only 100 Benchmark products will be procured directly.
- On behalf of registration, in your District procurement centres will be set up, and if there is a sufficient number of weavers in any block, then they will get priority.
- All the centers which are identified will be run initially for 15 days for the first phase. After that, the number will increase up to 30 days maximum, and it totally depends on the availability of products, which will be procured from indigenous weavers.
- The Procurement Committee will help Weavers to develop a team, support and Portal operation.
- Every product will be examined by the team, and the price will be fixed according to the product.
- The team purchase any item system generated is a ship will be issued. In this receipt, all details like purchase amount Etc will be mentioned.
- This purchase will upload with all details, including Weaver details, on the official portal.
