State Assam well know place which is famous for its Tea. There are so many tea gardens available in Assam, and so many tea workers work in these gardens. Now, the state government of Assam has started the new financial assistance scheme in favour of these Tea Garden workers. Such a scheme is known by its name, i.e. Mukhya Mantrir Eti Koli Duti Paat Scheme.
Government aiming to provide financial assistance to all Tea Garden workers of the state. In this scheme, all the Tea workers will get a one-time financial assistance Grant of Rs. 5,000. This amount is transferred directly into the bank account of the workers of the state. Mukhya Mantrir Eti Koli Duti Paat Scheme
Chief Minister of Assam announced this scheme in favour of Tea garden workers of the state. A total of 6 Lakhs permanent and temporary workers of the state are covered in this scheme, who work in 27 Districts of the state in the Tea Garden. They all will get the Payment directly in their bank account, which is also responsible for transparency in the distribution of the payment.

This scheme is also known as the Assam Tea Garden Workers’ Financial Assistance Scheme. The main benefit behind the launch of this scheme is to give Financial support to tea garden workers. Assam is one of the state which contribute 50% production of tea in India. The atmosphere and climate are friendly for tea production. There is a huge number of unorganised sector workers who are working in tea Gardens as daily wage workers.
The Assam government gives one-time financial assistance to these workers. Tea workers play a very major role in the contribution of the Assam economy. A one-time financial support of 5 Thousand Rupees will be provided for the workers, both permanent and temporary, working in the tea gardens. This scheme does not apply to Tea Garden Management persons. This is a welfare scheme in witch government supports Tea garden workers and provide finical stability. The scheme is launched on the occasion of the 200-year celebration of Assam tea.

Features of Mukhya Mantrir Eti Koli Duti Paat Scheme
- Beneficiaries Cover: In this scheme, all the registered workers of the Tea Garden will be covered, which is permanent and casual.
- Financial Assistance: All these beneficiaries will receive a one-time grant of Rs. 5,000.
- Distribution of Payment: The payment can be distributed through the DBT ( Direct Benefit Transfer ) System in the account of the beneficiaries who are linked with an Aadhaar Card.
- Motive: The government wants to provide financial support, with the help of which they can improve their living style, and the government also recognises them as contributor in Tea Industry of the state.

Eligibility Criteria
- This scheme only covers the beneficiaries who are permanent residents of the state of Assam.
- Applicant must be a Tea Garden worker.
- All the employees or workers who are permanent and temporary workers in the registered Tea Garden of the state.
- Applicant must be an active worker and also registered with the Tea Board.
- All applicants who are going to apply for this scheme having valid and active bank account that is linked to an Aadhaar card.

- Employment proof is needed to submit to the registration certificate with the Teak Garden Board.
- Workers’ Bank account details for the direct benefits Transfer of the amount.
- ID proof of workers.

How does this Mukhya Mantrir Eti Koli Duti Paat Scheme Provide Benefits?
- Collection of Data: The Management Team of the Tea Garden will prepare the list of eligible tea garden workers, in which both the temporary and permanent workers’ names appear, and then submit it to the District Administration office.
- Verification of Data: Then, after submitting the list of workers, the verification will be done by DLIC.
- Distribution of Application Form: Once the verification is completed, the application form will be distributed only to the approved beneficiaries by the DC. The application form will be printed according to the beneficiaries’ numbers. Then the team will also help to the beneficiaries to fill out the form, collect the form from them, and then again submit the form in District Administration.
- Payment Distribution: After taking the application form, officials will provide the benefits through the cheques, and then the same cheque funds will be transferred to the bank account of the workers of the Tea Garden.

Steps To Check Payment Status
The payment of this scheme is transferred through the DBT mode of payment, but if, by chance, any of the workers do not receive the payment, then you can check the same with the following process:
- You have to visit the Bank and then make the entry in your passbook by updating it, then you will notice whether any kind of payment will be credited to your account of Rs. 5,000 from the Assam Government.
- Check your Aadhar Card details because payment will be credited to the bank account that is linked to your Aadhar Card.
