By starting this program, the government also urge all government employees to make use of these special casual leave or holiday. Then after getting holidays, you can spend your special time with your family, kids, parents, or with in-laws. Assam Matri Pitri Vandana Scheme
This Matri Pitri Vandana Casual Leave Program is announced by the CM of the Assam state on 2025 September. All the government employees of Assam will get a total of 4 casual leaves in November to show love and affection towards their parents or family members. In 2026, The Special casual Leave dates are in the month of July, which is from 9th July to 12th July and from 23rd July to 26th July; all people can choose their leave in the specific time period. The official notification for this program is issued by the General Administration Department of the state.

The need to start this program is for the people who work in the remote area of the state, in which people have to leave their family at home and they due to job are faraway from the house. So that’s why with the help of this program, all these employees will get the opportunity to spend time by getting this special leave from the side of the government. So during the duration of these leave every one need to fill out the online form and then get the approval for their leaves.

Special Casual Leave Dates in 2026
The Government of Assam, in its recent cabinet meeting, approved four-day special casual leaves to the government employees for the year 2026 in the month of July. There are only two time periods available in which all the interested government employees will have to choose the time period during which they want this special leave.

Features Of Scheme
- Duration of Leave: All the eligible employees will get 2 to 4 days of leave, depending on the department.
- Holiday Combination of scheme: The Special casual Leave will be prefixed or suffixed with the regular incoming holidays, as the 2nd or 4th Saturday included.
- Requirement: It is important for all employees who get leave to upload a photo of his/her family within 7 days from the sanction date of leave.
Eligibility Conditions
- Job Status: Applicant must be a government employee of the state of Assam.
- Citizen Status: You are also a permanent citizen of Assam.
- Leave Requirement: You only get leave to spend time with your parent.
- Not Added: The private sector employees are not eligible.

In this scheme applicant need to submit documents two time like for pre leave and then after approval of leave.

- Open Portal: If you are a State government employee and are interested in getting this opportunity of Casual Leave, then you need to register on the portal, which is the first step to get the benefit.
- Click TO Register: After reaching on the home page, the Login and Register Option available. Click on it.
- Fill the Employee Registration Form: Then, the new registration form opens in front of you. Add the personal Details like Name, Father/Mother Name, Mobile Number, Birth Date and Gender of Employee.
- Add Official details: After entering the basic details, you have to now add the employee’s official details, in which you choose the category of your job, Office Name, Designation, Department Concerned and District in which you work.
- Upload Documents: After filling the form, upload your official Documents like your Official employee ID and Photograph in passport size.
- Submit: At last, enter the Captcha Code and click to register.

- When you are login on your account, the Application Form for Leave, You have to fill this form.
- Now apply for Leave and get the printout of the Matri Pitri Vandana Leave Application, and get the signature from the Authority concerned with your office.
- When they sign, and you get the leave from the authority have to again login on the portal and upload your leave application on the same portal.
- It is also mandatory to take a picture with your parent or with your are spend the time during the holidays and upload it on the portal.
