To make the competition among the students of the state for the quality of education, the government of Assam provides different kinds of benefits through a variety of schemes. To improve the education status and enhance the education quality, the government provides the benefits of scholarships and welfare schemes to the eligible students. Some of the schemes are specially for boys, and some are for Girls, in which every student will get the monthly financial assistance from the Assam Government. So, like all, there is another scheme, i.e. Anundoram Borooah Award Scheme, which is also known as ARBAS, launched by the government in 2005.

In this scheme, special benefits are given to the students of the 10th class who get the first division in their final examination. In this scheme, government provide the one time financial assistance in Cash or May be Laptop to students, which they can use for their further higher classes. Know the process to get benefits.

Anundoram Borooah Award Scheme

This scheme was first introduced in 2005 by the government and is known as the Anundoram Borooah Award Scheme. With this scheme, the government provides facilities like providing digital resources, cash and other educational materials for their higher studies. Only those students are eligible to get the benefits of this scheme who get 1st Division in the 10th class board exam. The previous government provide the Cash or a laptop, whichever students wanted, as per their choice.

But at present, the government only provides the Cash of Rs. 16,000 to the eligible students under this scheme. Students must get a first division with 75% marks in their 10th class exam. After getting these marks, students can apply for this scheme through the online portal.

• Beneficiary: All students who get first division on 10th class by getting 75% or above marks will be eligible for this scheme.
• Schemes Benefits: In this scheme, all the eligible students previously received the Laptop, Tablet, Cash and other study material.
• Aim: The government only wants to encourage the students to compete and will get high-performing students into higher classes.

Eligibility Criteria For Students

• Residency:- All students who are permanent residents of the state of Assam.
• Education Performance: eligible students must have first division with 75 Percent marks in 10^th class.
• Board: he/she must complete their 10th class exam under the SEBA ( Board of Secondary Education, Assam) Board.
• School Location: students must be getting their studies in a school that is affiliated and recognised in the state of Assam.
• Session: This scheme opens the application link every year after the competition of the academic year.

How to Apply for the Anundoram Borooah Award Scheme?

• When you login in to your account, you find the link to apply online, and the new Tab will open here.
• Now the applicant has to fill out the application form with details and upload all the requisite Documents.
• Before the final submission of the form, applicants need to pay the registration amount here. When you pay the amount, you will successfully submit your form.
• Then every student received the acknowledgement receipt with the application number, and your form will be forwarded to the officials.

Assam Anundoram Borooah Award Scheme is a scheme in witch meritous students will be awarded.
